Birthday Cake

I love cake and who doesn't?  I die cut 2 Happy Birthday sentiments from Karen Burniston's Happy Birthday Pop Up, one in Basic Gray and one in Crushed Curry to create the drop shadow effect.  I also used Candles from Elizabeth Craft Designs - a die that I have been coveting for a long time and finally gave in.
I made the cake from a 2 x 2.25 piece of pattern paper and the frosting was created using Beach Edges.  I adhered the frosting to the square and used a corner rounder and added a shortened candle.  I used the Eiffel Tower Pop Stand as a cake stand and the top of the tower helps support my candle.  The cake is the perfect size to add the recipients age.
I used Paris Edges to create 2 scallops for each end of the card.
Here's a close up of the super fun Birthday Cake Tower!
I hope you have enjoyed my card.
